Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club 

Applications for 2026 – 2027 scholarships are anticipated to open around December 7, 2025 at which time the online submission link will be live again.

Applications can be submitted online by filling out the Online application form and emailing the required letter and transcript to NWHC.ROH@aggiemoms.org. Be sure to read and follow all instructions.

Scholarship applications are open to any Texas A&M University student with a permanent address within our zip code service area (*see list below) or any Texas A&M student whose mother/guardian is a current member of the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club.

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

Eligible applicants shall include:

1. Full-time undergraduate students currently carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours (in the Fall Semester) at: Texas A&M University (College Station, TX or Galveston, TX or Doah, Qatar); or, at both Texas A&M University and Blinn College (Bryan, TX) combined, if the applicant is a Blinn Team student with a minimum of 2 semesters remaining at Texas A&M University and
   
2. A minimum of 12 credit hours completed at Texas A&M University(College Station, TX or Galveston, TX or McAllen, TX or Doah, Qatar) or at both Texas A&M University and Blinn College (Bryan, TX) combined if the applicant is a Blinn Team student at the time of application and
   
3. A minimum overall GPA of 2.75 at Texas A&M University (College Station, TX or Galveston, TX or McAllen, TX or Doah, Qatar) or at both Texas A&M University and Blinn College, (Bryan, TX) combined if the applicant is a Blinn Team student and
   
4. Have a permanent mailing address in the service area (by zip code) as defined by our board of directors and students of current members of the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club as of October 31 who do not reside within the service area as defined by our board of directors.  The students of Aggie moms that are part of the Adopt a Mom program of the Federation of Aggie Moms Club and are members of the NWHC Aggie Moms Club would be eligible according to this criteria.
   
5. Have not previously received a scholarship from the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club.

Check List – for items to be included in application:

Each of these items must be included in your submission. When you apply electronically, it is assumed you have signed the document. 

1. Original signed application cover page with all items checked. Electronic signature assumed with electronic submission. The application must be submitted using student’s Texas A&M email account (@tamu.edu).
   
2. Original of completed application form. Electronic submission accepted.
   
3. Current copy of Student’s transcript including past and current classes (may be printed online from the student’s University account). Submit to nwhc.roh@aggiemoms.org.
   
4. Original of Applicant statement (500 words or less).
   
5. One letter of recommendation from an A&M professor, A&M mentor or supervisor from work, community or leadership related activities on letterhead. The letter should be submitted by the author to nwhc.roh@aggiemoms.org. Please make sure the author is away of the scholarship submission deadline.

If applying online please do not forget to send the recommendation letter and a copy of your transcript to nwhc.roh@aggiemoms.org.  The recommendation letter must be sent from the writer and not the student.
