Howdy! Happy Fall!
I hope everyone is enjoying the official beginning of the Fall season (minus the cool weather). The Northwest Harris County Aggie Moms have been very busy attending and planning our many Fall events.
We have several exciting events coming up in October and hope to see you at one or all of them. First, is our monthly meeting. Our monthly meetings provide a chance to meet with other Aggie Moms, make new friends, do some crafting, share information, learn about the traditions of Texas A&M, join clubs, do a little shopping, order a Care Package for your Aggie’s Fall finals week, apply for book awards, and have some Aggie fun!!
The meeting will be held on October 8th at the Houston Distributing Company, located at 7100 High Life Drive, Houston, 77066. Arrive at 6:30pm for food and fun. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm. Our guest speaker this month will be Angie Rogers with The Aggie Recovery Center. If you want to get crafty before the meeting, the Crafty Moms will be meeting at 5:00pm to work on some of our custom tradition pieces.
At each meeting we collect donations for a local community group. In October we will be collecting supplies for the organization, Special Cheers. Ideas for donations are posted on the website.
In addition to our monthly meeting, we also have some great events scheduled in October.
On October 19th, we will be holding our annual Fall fundraising event, Hullabaloo Huddle Watch Party at STATS Sports Bar and Grill located at 10850 Louetta Rd (across from The Vintage, HEB), Houston, 77070. Come cheer on our Aggie Football team! The party starts at kick off. We will have lots of great items in our Silent Auction and many drink specials just for our event.
On October 26th & 27th (yes, both days!!), we will be holding our other Fall fundraiser at The Round Top Collection Gallery (all day event) located at 28802 Hwy 290, Cypress, 77433. You MUST identify your purchase as part of the NWHC Aggie Moms’ Club Give Back effort in order to help earn our profits. PS: They will have their Christmas/ Holiday line out and ready for purchases!!!
Last is our social event for the month which will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 9:00am to noon. We will be attending the “Caffeine and Chrome” (Free Event) at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston located at 1910 Cypress Station Drive, Suite 200, 77090. We will meet at 9:00am. Theme – “Girls love pretty cars too!!”
I was thrilled to see all of you at our Shop Til You Drop and Kendra Scott events. It is truly because of all your support that we are already off to a very successful scholarship giving year. I’m excited to see what we can do in October. Please keep in mind, all friends are welcome to attend our monthly meetings and upcoming events. Enjoy your October, and don’t forget to come out to support our club, by attending one or all of our upcoming events.
