I can't believe it's almost Spring!
As always, the Northwest Harris County Aggie Moms Club has lots of great events planned for this month and the rest of the year!! Below is a list of all the great upcoming events we have planned for March.
First is our monthly meeting which will be held on March 17th at 7 pm. Yes!! That’s right, on St. Paddy’s Day!! Due to Spring Break we had to push our general meeting forward one week. Hopefully, you can join us for a night of fun and some “Green Beer”.
In addition to green beer, we will have several student organizations from Texas A&M visit us to share the purpose of their groups and clubs. Each org will have 10-15 minutes to educate us on their goals and activities. This information will help us prepare for voting purposes for next month. Each year we donate to student organizations based on the number of votes by our membership. As a club member, you are entitled to 3 votes for the club or group of your choice. The amount donated is based on the number of votes collected for each club/group. You must attend the meeting to vote. Ballots will be provided along with a complete list of all current groups and clubs on campus.
Spirit of Service for March
Each month we gather donations for a local community group. In March we will be collecting supplies for “Sleep in Heavenly Peace”. Their mission is to end child bedlessness nationwide. Current needs include: New Twin-sized sheet sets and comforters, pillows, wood, nails, tools, and other construction materials to build bed frames. Bed-in-a-Bag and gift cards for Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowe's are also welcome. See the website at www.shpbeds.org for more information. Last but not least is our Social Club update. Since this is an active social organization, we try to have one gathering per month for pure socializing. This month our event will be at Thistle Draftshop on Tuesday, March 10th in Spring. PLEASE NOTE: We will not be holding our monthly book club meeting due to Spring Break, but will resume next month on April 21st at 7pm at Frey’s Backyard Café located at 14441 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas 77377. – Your April book to read is The Last Romantics by Tara Conklin.
